Leading Through Uncertainty

This year’s Hope 4 Healing Race was a true test of faith. Pictured with me is the Co-Race Director, Shaquia. We loving call ourselves the Sha Squad.

As the event date approached, registrations remained low. Only 29 participants were signed up just one week before race day. To make matters more challenging, an extreme heat advisory threatened to derail our outdoor plans.

But we had hope.

I enjoy working with the nonprofit, Tower of Hope Ministries where we help adult survivors of childhood trauma. As a graduate of the program I now get the privilege to help others overcome.

Every event we host begins with prayer and a steadfast belief that God will send exactly who needs to be there.

We trust that when we’ve done our part, He will do the rest.

And He did.

By race morning, the weather was perfect with cool, crisp air and bright sunshine. Even better, our attendance climbed to 95 participants. What started as uncertainty became a day filled with energy, joy, and community.

We are deeply grateful to every participant, volunteer, donor, and sponsor who made this event possible. A special thank you goes to the City of St. Ann for graciously hosting us for the second year in a row.

Mark your calendars now: The 3rd Annual Hope 4 Healing Race is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Tiemeyer Park in St. Ann. We’re planning to add more race events and anticipate an even greater turnout next year.

Stay tuned for sponsorship opportunities, registration details, and exciting updates as we prepare for an even bigger celebration of hope and healing!
